End of Summer Dinner September 22nd

Our Saints and Sinners Ministry presents a Community End of Summer Dinner in the Parish Commons on September 22nd at 5 p.m. The meal is open to anyone but does require an RSVP by September 15th. RSVP to jkmcculla@comcast.net or you can call 804 306-2488. There will be beer and wine available for purchase, non alcoholic beverages are included with the price of the meal.

Fr. Dillon Bruce will offer a lunchtime keynote at Noon on August 28th! Father Dillon will give a pastoral and joyful presentation on the Sacrifice of the Mass. The talk will focus on how the church understands the Mass as a sacrifice and how this helps us to enter into the liturgy more deeply. Victim Assistance Support Harm happened in isolation, Healing can happen together. Asking for Money, Offering Help

Occasionally, individuals or families come to Saint Bridget to ask parishioners for money after Mass. While you are welcome to assist the needy at your own discretion, please know that Saint Bridget has an office of Social Ministry dedicated to offering real, meaningful assistance to those in need. Letters to Saint Bridget: Thank You

From time to time we receive letters addressed to the whole community of our Parish. Two of these letters came in recently from members of our community after moments of both great joy and great sorrow.   The first is from Kay White, the widow of our beloved Deacon Pat, the second from Ann Gill whose son was recently ordained to the Transitional Diaconate at Saint Bridget. There is a wonderful connection between Deacon Pat White and Deacon Luke Gill. While Luke was a student at Benedictine Preperatory School, Deacon Pat was one of his teachers.
