A Call to Stewardship
Caring for the Saint Bridget Church Parish Family and for the Community
Stewardship involves the choices we make every day: how we spend our time, what we do with the skills and talents God has given us, how we care for the environment, and what we do with our money.
Your financial contributions are our primary source of income, and ensure that our parish is financially stable and has the resources needed to support the many ministries and outreach of our parish, enabling us to:
- Celebrate our liturgy and faith as led by our Pastor, Father Ken Shuping, and parish clergy
- Champion parish outreach to the poor and needy in our community
- Provide religious education programs for all ages
- Offer sacramental preparation programs
- Ensure the pastoral care of the sick
- Enhance and cultivate our many and varied parish ministries
Offertory giving is an obligation of all parishioners, and is a way to give back a portion of what we have been given by God. We thank all the parish families for their gifts to support God’s work here at Saint Bridget Catholic Church.
Our Director of Stewardship, Kimberly Lapkin, is available to help you with any stewardship questions or matters.

Gift of Appreciated Securities
Gifts of appreciated securities are always welcome. Please check with your tax advisors to determine if a gift of appreciated securities is appropriate for you. Contact Kimberly Lapkin for more information about giving gifts of stock at (804) 525-7888.
Financial Stewardship Integrity
Responsible stewardship demands that the weekly gifts from the faithful be given appropriate consideration as the parish’s most vulnerable financial asset. Weekly offertory, which represents the monetary lifeblood of the Saint Bridget Church community, is collected, properly safeguarded, counted, deposited and recorded.
Saint Bridget Church has a sound internal control structure with an equally important and active monitoring system to make sure required controls are in place and functioning.
