Elizabeth Grapes is an author, mother, and a member at St Josephs parish. Elizabeth is active in her local community through bible studies,  catholic moms groups ,teaching vbs and support of her husband Jesse who is the headmaster of Benedictine College Preparatory. Together they are invested in the faith formation of not only their own children but those in the  Richmond Catholic family.  Her book is illustrated by Elizabeth Scolaro, local artist and mother. Thanksgiving Celebration – “Priests and Pies” – Thursday, November 10th, Noon; Thanksgiving luncheon with turkey and traditional fix'ns served.  All are invited to bring a home-baked Thanksgiving pie to share.  Our new Parochial Vicar will introduce himself to our parishioners.  $5 at the door.  Please bring some canned goods for the needy in our community.  (Parish Commons).

St. Bridget parish will conduct a special second collection to help with relief efforts in the U.S. and in Haiti on the weekend of October 29-30. As determined by The Catholic Diocese of Richmond: 75% of the collection will be directed to Catholic Relief Services to help with humanitarian aid in Haiti and the other 25% will be designated towards Catholic Charities USA to help with relief efforts in the United States.
