Fr. Dillon Bruce will offer a lunchtime keynote at Noon on August 28th!
Father Dillon will give a pastoral and joyful presentation on the Sacrifice of the Mass. The talk will focus on how the church understands the Mass as a sacrifice and how this helps us to enter into the liturgy more deeply. This keynote will be livestreamed.
About the topic:
The Mass can be seen a variety of ways, as a meal, as a gathering of the Body of Christ, as a Celebration, as a Memorial, but the fundamental understanding of the Mass is as a re-presents (makes present) of the Sacrifice of Christ. The words of institution reveal this: "This is my body which is given for you." and "This cup which is poured out for you is the New Covenant of my blood." Further, while Christ is the Paschal Lamb, the Church (the body of Christ) also participates in the sacrifice as Christ is the head of the body.
Attendees are asked to RSVP using this form.
On the RSVP form you'll have the option to pre-order lunch.
