Social Ministry Resources
Here you will find various resources that we hope will encourage you to go out and live the gospel. Rooted in themes of Catholic Social Teaching, we hope to inspire a culture of care and concern for the most vulnerable within and around our parish.
For more information, please email Jo Ellen Schneider at jschneider@saintbridgetchurch.org.
"And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:37-39)

A verse in the Gospel of Mark captures the persona of Walter Sullivan, the late bishop of Richmond, Virginia:
“You do not regard a person’s status but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth.” (Mark 12:14)
In the Bulletin
Our bulletin is always a resource for you to know the latest on social ministry groups at the parish and in the area.
As a follow-up to the Human Concerns grant we offered to local organizations in the fall, we will be sharing information about the organizations that were selected as recipients and providing insight into the work they provide here in RVA and how your second collection gifts to the needy of this area are put to use. Spotlight features will run in the bulletin at the beginning of every month.
Please consider including a gift to the second collections to help support the Saint Bridget Human Concerns grant. We appreciate your support and this effort to be good stewards of the gifts you provide through our outreach efforts.
