Commonwealth Catholic Charities is seeking volunteers support for the Seton Housing Pilot Project. The Seton Housing Project provides at-risk pregnant women with safe and stable housing plus Case Management from CCC's Pregnancy Counseling team. In addition, Seton Housing clients have access to other CCC programs (Behavioral Counseling, Financial Counseling, Workforce Development, etc.) creating a wrap-around care model with the sole intention of providing a sustainable future for the mother and child. There are currently four mothers in the Richmond program. 

Seton Housing is facing a lack of childcare options once the mother is ready to go back to work. The clients qualify for Department of Social Service childcare subsidies, but that benefit does not kick in until after each mother has found long-term employment and has completed a lengthy application process. As such, it is hard to apply, interview, & begin employment without already having quality childcare in place.

Seton Housing is seeking volunteers to provide short-term childcare for these mothers in need. Just a few hours once or twice a week would be very helpful. Alternatively, Seton House is seeking donors to cover the cost of in-home childcare workers.
