Altar Server Training Registration is Here

 

The Call

Children who are fifth graders (and older) are invited to join the Saint Bridget Altar Server Ministry to serve the Lord and our parish in a most beautiful, rewarding ministry. This ministry can be foundational to a child's faith formation. Parents are encouraged to consider and discuss with their children this call to serve. Even if they are nervous about altar serving, the training experience will teach them more about the Mass and introduce them to the concept of ministry.

 

Responsibilities

Our servers are well-trained and committed to their ministry. They will have the opportunity to serve at weekend and weekday Masses, as well as funerals and weddings if they choose.

 

Training & Registration

Training will be scheduled in late summer, but details are still being finalized. In order to prepare adequately, servers are expected to attend about six hours of training and study terminology and procedures in their own time.
