"Good afternoon, 

On behalf of the Henrico County chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), allow me to express my gratitude for the numerous donations for our recent bed build project at Saint Bridget Middle School. As an all-volunteer organization, we depend solely on donations to purchase bedding, mattresses, lumber, and hardware to further our mission.

The nationwide estimate is that 2-3% of all children do not have a bed to sleep in. Our goal is simple, that "No kid sleeps on the floor in our town."  Thanks to the kindness of Saint Bridget Catholic Church and parishioners, we were able to fund beds to keep six children in our neighborhood off the floor.

The middle and high school students and their adult volunteers put in a hard day's work on Thursday, July 1st, to cut, sand, drill, assemble, and stain six complete beds. These beds will be delivered soon to children in need in the City of Richmond and Henrico County. SHP is fortunate to have partnered with Saint Bridget Catholic Church for numerous Catholic Heart Workcamp and youth group projects in the past, and we look forward to many more in the future. Please pass on our sincere thanks to all involved."
