Volunteer for Dinner Service with Housing Families First (Formerly Hilliard House, 3900 Nine Mile Road)
We need volunteers to cook, serve and hang out with guests on the first Friday of the month for the evening meal. The number of clients varies but can be up to 10 adults and 20 kids.
Volunteer Groups arrive at around 5:15pm for a 5:30-6:30pm dinner service.
We need teams of 5-8 volunteers and families with children as young as 4 are welcome.
Bring enough food for the volunteers to be able to get a plate and enjoy dinner with the residents.
Interaction with the guest is welcome and encouraged. The church can reimburse you for the food you buy or you can give us a receipt to count it as a donation.
Cleanup happens around 6:30pm and volunteers usually leave around 6:45pm unless you’d like to stay and hang with the kids until 7pm!
If interested contact Paul Amrhein paul@saintbridgetchurch.org or 525-7902.
