Saint Bridget Human Concerns Grant
We would like to thank all of the organizations who applied! The committee reviewed information on the amazing work they are doing for our community, and we will be spotlighting each of them throughout the coming year. Congratulations to the following awarded organizations: Saint Francis Manchester, Richmond Habitat for Humanity, Cross Over Ministry, Liberation Veterans Services, Mary's Choice, Commonwealth Catholic Charities, Society of St. Vincent DePaul, Housing Families First, Salvation Army and Virginia Society for Human Life.
Do you like to cook? Did you know Saint Bridget’s works with 3 different feeding ministries in Richmond?
Consider helping one for one of our assigned days via the QR code or this link: Matthew 14: St. Bridget Feeding Ministry (signupgenius.com) . We have opportunities to fit your schedule through the fall season, but could use your help on October 10th! Additional information will be provided ahead of each event. Thank you for supporting food security here in Richmond!
40 DAYS FOR LIFE
Please continue to keep the staff and volunteers of organizations who help protect life here in the Richmond community in your prayers. We have a number of partnerships that could use volunteer help and donations of goods. If you are interested, please fill out the form via this QR code or this link: 40 Days for Life (google.com).
Gobble Gobble!
We are collecting Thanksgiving meal items to help those in need in partnership with Commonwealth Catholic Charities Dibert Food Pantry. Check the Social Ministries Bulletin Board for a full list of foods, and please bring items to the church before October 26th. Our Knights of Columbus will be collecting the regular items and also providing transportation of the Thanksgiving goods on their regular schedule.
Christmas Sharing is coming!
We are currently working with local partners to help make this Christmas season a special one for families experiencing difficulty. We are excited to be partnering with 3 local elementary schools and Salvation Army to collect items via our Angel Tree needed for Saint Francis Home and Liberation Veterans Services. Dates and information will be available soon. If you have a referral for this year’s program, please contact Jo Ellen Schneider at jschneider@saintbridgetchurch.org
