About Summer Camps
We are introducing new opportunities for Saint Bridget teens with two objectives:
- Each experience allows teens to encounter the Lord and their faith in different ways as they progress from middle through high school. Variety is the spice of life and we want your faith life to stay spicy!
- Diocesan events allow Saint Bridget teens to get to know the seminarians, University Campus Ministers, and other teens who will be populating Virginia colleges. Teens who go on to college in Virginia will already know other Catholic students on campus, the Campus Minister, and the new priests being ordained as they move into young adulthood.

Gather with teens from across the Diocese of Richmond, build lasting friendships, build relationships with Christ, have a ton of fun, and serve in some of the poorest communities in our state and diocese. At Workcamp, teens are given a chance to spend time with the current seminarians and future priests of the Diocese, they get to know the College Campus Chaplains, spend time with Bishop Knestout, and get to know other Catholic High School kids. The week features an excellent house band, interactive games, surprise parties, Mass, Adoration, Reconciliation, and a nationally known keynote speaker to guide the week. Teens that serve at Workcamp will have the added benefit of getting to see all their friends from across the state at the Diocesan Youth Conference in February, and at the annual Diocesan College Student Summit.

Steubenville Conference: Atlanta
July 7-9, 2023, Duluth, GA
High School Teens
2000 teens from around the country gather to experience the joy and beauty of the Catholic faith. The Diocese of Richmond sends about 200 teens to Atlanta, so Saint Bridget teens will again get to meet up with the Catholic teens they know from the Diocesan Youth Conference and Diocesan Work Camp. This event is incredibly fun, deep, and solidly Catholic. The conference offers teens an opportunity to hear from some of the Church's leading Catholic speakers* and encounter the Lord in a deep and thoughtful way. Each year, newly ordained priests are surveyed; consistently, 15-30% of those priests report that attending a Steubenville Conference as a teen was a key moment in discerning their vocation. *Previous speakers/musicians include Fr. Mike Schmitz (pictured above with Saint Bridget teens in 2021), Sr. Miriam James Heidland, Matt Maher, Chika Anyanwu, Joel Stepanik, Sara Kroger, Emily Wilson, Joel Stefanick, Katie Prejean McGrady, Fr. Dave Pivonka, Jackie Angel, and more.
