We are in need of Volunteers to help teach religious education classes, help with sacrament preparation for our second graders receiving First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, and to help with Children’s Liturgy of the Word on Sundays at the 9am and 11am Masses.
In order to continue to offer these wonderful ministries, we need volunteers to help make them happen. Training, mentorship, and VIRTUS training are all provided. Please contact Mary Rebecca Pugsley at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and to sign up.
Everybody knows that good nutrition is critical to good health, but nutritious food can be expensive! Saint Francis Home, a ministry of the Catholic Diocese of Richmond that cares for elderly and disabled persons with limited or no income, is asking for your help to provide tasty, healthy meals to their residents.
They have made it simple for you to donate as little $5 to the Saint Francis Home food budget, with just a few clicks. Please help provide fresh produce, dairy, lean meats, and grains for the residents of Saint Francis Home -- you will make a difference just by visiting their web page:
Support CrossOver Healthcare Ministry by lending a hand in their upcoming painting project! After many recent renovations to their Henrico clinic, they need the help of Saint Bridget volunteers to freshen up the space for their patients, volunteers, and staff with a new coat of paint. CrossOver is looking for volunteers to help on Saturday, August 17th, from 9:00am-3:00pm. All volunteers ages 14 and up are welcome!
If you have any painting supplies that you would like to bring, that would be great! If not, CrossOver will provide painting supplies as well.

God of endless love,
ever caring, ever strong,
always present, always just:
You gave your only Son
to save us by the blood of his cross.
Gentle Jesus, shepherd of peace,
join to your own suffering
the pain of all who have been hurt
in body, mind, and spirit
by those who betrayed the trust placed in them.
Hear our cries as we agonize
over the harm done to our brothers and sisters.
Breathe wisdom into our prayers,
soothe restless hearts with hope,
steady shaken spirits with faith:
Show us the way to justice and wholeness,
enlightened by truth and enfolded in your mercy.
Holy Spirit, comforter of hearts...
