A native of Richmond's Jackson Ward and an alum of Catholic Schools, Deacon Williams is a speaker, writer, and teacher on multiple topics. These topics include the Black Catholic experience, the history of the Black experience in Virginia and Richmond's slave trade, pastoral care of Black Catholics, and the evangelization of the African American community. He has been published in America Magazine and the weekly Catholic Review.
