On August 16th, a 7.2 earthquake in Haiti caused widespread destruction and a tragic loss of life. Tropical Storm Grace that followed right after the earthquake compounded the problems the people of Haiti are facing by hampering relief and rescue efforts. Saint Bridget will join parishes in the Diocese to make a special appeal for a collection during the weekend of August 28-29. In addition to this special appeal for support, Bishop Knestout asks that prayers for our brothers and sisters impacted by this devastating earthquake are included at all Masses. Thank you for answering this request and for helping the people of Haiti during this critical time.
You may choose to give via Online Giving by selecting “Bishops Emergency Disaster Fund Collection – Haiti” from the drop down menu.
If you are making a donation by check, please indicate Haiti Disaster Fund on your check memo and drop it in the 2nd Collection basket or mail it to Saint Bridget Church at 6006 Three Chopt Rd, Richmond, VA 23226.
Cash received in the 2nd Collection basket will be designated for the Haiti Emergency Disaster Fund.
Thank you for your generosity.
