Dear Parishioners,
With Advent fast upon us we begin preparing for the celebration of the Lord’s birth. For many years we have celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation on a designated evening.
This year, hoping to make it more convenient, we will celebrate this sacrament on three Tuesday evenings in Advent. Thus, December 3rd, 10th, 17th, all at 5:30 p.m. This is during our weekly Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament so perhaps you can also spend some quiet time with the Lord.
We also have confessions every Saturday from 4pm until 5pm.
The Feast of the Immaculate Conception is transferred to Monday, December 9 and is not a holy day of obligation this year. This is because the traditional date falls on the Second Sunday in Advent, a feast of Jesus which takes precedence.
However, as you know it is always good to honor the Blessed Mother. Masses will be celebrated on Monday, December 9th at 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
