Catholic Travel Through Europe!

Posted on January 10, 2017 in: General News

Made a New Year's Resolution to Travel? Have a "bucket list? Or just want to be adventuresome? If so, "Come Sail Away on the Danube River!" Monsignor Bob Perkins, and Teresa Yoder (Pastoral Musician at Immaculate Conception Parish, Hampton) are in the initial stage of planning a river cruise on the Dan􀀗be River for early November 2017. Discover a wealth of art, history, & cultural treasures while cruising some of Europe's most famous destinations. From Budapest, journey to Bratislava, Vienna, Melk, Passau, and the two thousand year old town of Regensburg ( a UNESCO world heritage site). Along the way, on a relatively small sailing vessel, visit some Cathedrals, the Abbey at Melk, and sample Vienna's sachertorte cake, enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Wachau Valley and winemaking region. An optional extended stay in Prague will also be offered. We will hold a "curiosity meeting" at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Hampton (2150 Cunningham Dr.) January 22nd, at 12:15 pm.
