Christmas Sharing Adoption Weekends - Drop Off Details & Thank you!

Updated 12/06/23: We are so grateful for the overwhelming participation in this year’s Christmas Sharing adoptions! THANK YOU for helping us adopt the remaining 100 individuals and families to help make their Christmas so much brighter.

The early drop-off windows are now upon us. Please drop off your items between Wednesday, 12/6 and Friday, 12/8 on the blacktop at the POD between the hours of 6pm and 7:30pm. For late drop-off, we will be taking gifts between 8:00AM and 9:45AM on the morning of Saturday December 9th. No gifts will be accepted after 9:45AM on the 9th of December due to agencies arriving for pick-up. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Please contact Jeannie Grumblatt with questions regarding drop-off.

What is Christmas Sharing?

  • For over 25 years, Saint Bridget parishioners have helped over 150 families in need have a brighter Christmas with presents, food, toiletries and other household items. Christmas Sharing hopes to empower parents by allowing them to shop for their own children at Christmas time. This is why we ask that gifts remain unwrapped, and allow for individuals to request 1 gift card per child.

How it works

  • Adoption cards will be distributed after Masses the weekends of November 12th and all remaining will be available online.
  • Select an individual, purchase the items, and drop at the POD located on the St. Bridget Blacktop between 5:30p.m. & 7:00p.m. between Wednesday, December 6th and Friday, December 8th. The last minute drop-off window is between 7:30a.m. and 10:00a.m. on Saturday, December 9th.

Who Do We Serve?

  • The recipient individuals and families are identified by Social Agencies and Community Organizers across Virginia. While many recipients are from rural locations in/around the Blue Ridge Mountains, some recipients are based in low income areas around Richmond.
