Lent 2025 at Saint Bridget

  Reminders -On all Fridays in Lent, concluding with Good Friday, we all abstain from meat and fast, as our health allows. All Catholics 14 & older are required to participate in the abstinence from meat. You are welcome to enter into an optional fast on Wednesdays as well. The USCCB describes fasting as two small meals and one full meal. -The Stations of the Cross will be prayerfully observed every Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the Church. Stations will be held: 3/7, 3/14, 3/21, 3/28, 4/4, 4/11 (outside), and 4/18. -Soup Suppers will follow stations every Friday except for 3/14, when we have the Fish F...

Diocesan Jubillee Year Pilgrimage & Indulgences from the Office of Worship, Diocese of Richmond Bishop Knestout has designated three Pilgrimage sites for the Jubilee Year 2025.  According to the Decree on the Granting of the Indulgence during the Ordinary Jubilee Year 2025, “the faithful, pilgrims of hope, will be able to obtain the Jubilee Indulgence granted by the Holy Father if they undertake a pious pilgrimage” and participate in any of the celebrations and/or devotions described below.  In the Diocese of Richmond, one Pilgrimage site will be dedicated in each vicari...
