Saturday, December 10, 4:30 PM – 5: 20 PM

The Adult and Children’s Choirs of Saint Bridget will lead us on a musical journey from humanity’s fall in the Garden to the Annunciation. Accompanied by a brass quintet, piano and organ, choirs and soloists will sing the ancient hymn “Adam Lay Y Bounden,” followed by choral anthems and solos that remind us of the promise and hope we celebrate in the Season of Advent. Music will include Creator of the Stars of Night, A Little Child Shall Lead Them, Lift Up Your Heads. The Adult Choirs will echo the Song of Mary in a composition of Vaughan Williams; and a brass quintet will play Monteverdi’s jubilant “Deus in Adjutorium” (O Lord, make speed to save me) from Vespers of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Concert will begin at 4:30 PM and conclude with time for a break before the regular Saturday evening Mass.
